We completed in our journal

Grade 6:
We drew the new Graphic Organizer into our journal
We defended our APK position by standing in different parts of the room
Hook: we labeled thermometers measuring the three different temperature scales (in our journal)
We logged on to STEMscope in class on our iPads and read the HOMEWORK assignment: Reading Science B

Grade 8:
We answered four Plickers questions
We completed the Hook: Rubber Band Energy, drew a graph and made a general statement
We worked on Activity #1 Potential Predictions (available on Canary)
HOMEWORK is to complete the scientific investigation (graph, CER)

We investigated Sugar crystals today in the lab Rock Candy Lab (available on Canary)

Grade 6:
We sang "Decomposition" 
We took our first test 
No Homework


Grade 8:
We built a roller racer. We raced for speed and distance.
We were challenged to then redesign to make a car that would roll forward then backward.
Matt Cosentino won every competition! Way to go Matt!
We completed the APK, by sorting pictures into Potential or Kinetic piles
Homework is Reading Science B
Plickers questions will be based on Stemscopedia

Grade 6:
We sang "Funky Newt"
We completed Plickers questions (based on Stemscopedia)
We completed the Scientific Investigation: Material Matters
    we recorded data
    we graphed
    we made a general statement about our graph
    we took our general statement and created a CLAIM
We wrote our first CER (Claim, Evidence, Reasoning)
We taped two other activities into our journals:
    Amount Matters & Environment Matters
        we illustrated these
Two handouts were distributed for review for Test
TEST on Thursday!!!

Grade 8:
We completed Plickers questions
We shared graphs and CER from last activity
We completed review handouts with a partner
We completed the Claim and Evidence of our first CER together
We took the first Test on-line

We sang "Bags of Water"
We answered 3 Plickers questions
We began the Scientific Investigation: Materials Matter
Homework: Read Stemscopedia, be prepared for Plickers questions

Grade 8:
We wrote a CER about the activity from Tuesday: Speed & Motion
We completed the Scientific Investigation: The Effect of Mass
Homework: make 3 graphs: KE vs Speed, Mass vs KE, Speed vs Mass
    (graph the average data- there should be 3 data point per graph)
        when graphing KE the axis label should be: K.E. (j) x 10 -4
    AND write a CER
TEST ON TUESDAY!!

We took a Secretive quiz based on the video
