Grade 6:
We answered 6 Plickers questions
We completed a fun microscope activity: we tried to discern if the slides contained living (had cells) or nonliving items.
Our claim: All living things are made of cells
        evidence: we listed some specific info we learned from observing the slides
        reasoning: think about this for Tuesday!!!

Grade 8:
no class due to Thanksgiving prayer service and feast

Grade 7:
We answered 6 Plickers questions
We completed the Activity: Modeling Photosynthesis (with math cubes) (available on Canary)
    We answered 6 post activity ?s and discussed the answers
Homework: write a CER based on the activity

Every student needs a jar on Wednesday, November 29th to build a terrarium

We completed the APK: What are cells?
We completed the Hook: Units of Life (we arranged pictures into a row of Cells, Structures, Organelles or Organisms)
Homework: Reading Science due Thursday
                    Read STEMscopedia so we are ready for Plickers questions

Grade 8:

Grade 6:
We completed 6 Plickers questions
We discussed Science Fair Background Research (due Dec. 5th)
        requires 3 resources, 3 Bibliography cards, 10 notecards (13 index cards in all)
We completed Activity 2: Convection & Radiation (we used a lava lamp and a radiometer)
We are challenged with an extra credit opportunity - to build a medicine container that will keep an ice cube frozen for 24 hours (see handout)
TEST on Thursday!!

Grade 8:
We completed 6 Plickers questions
We discussed Science Fair Background Research (due Dec. 5th)
