Posted below are homework assignments. Remember these are listed for the convenience of the parents and students; however, it is the student's responsibility to write down homework assignments in class.

Grade 6:
We completed the activity: Demolition Day
Homework: complete line graph, make a general statement about the graph (if you didn't finish in class)
                    Complete the CER

TEST ON THURSDAY!!!

Grade 8:
We worked on our Rube Goldberg machine. Video and poster should have been finished in class
Presentations will be given on Thursday
TEST ON TUESDAY!!!

Grade 6:
We completed the Activities: Penny Hockey and Marble Bowling
We answered 4 Plicker questions

Grade 8:
We began by correcting our own homework on "Systems" and  "Action-Reaction Contact Forces"
We were challenged to design and build a game that completes a simple task (Rube Goldberg machine) - similar to the Mouse Trap Game
Presentations with poster will be given on Wednesday, October 19, 2017

We presented our poster and information about our group's natural resource and corresponding synthetic products

Grade 6:
We sang "Scat Song" and "Tan Oak"
We drew the new graphic organizer into our journals
We completed the APK: Dropping a Brick onto a Table
We completed the Hook: Energy Transfer in Motion (rubbing our hands)
Homework: Reading Science (on STEMscope)

Grade 8:
We answered 3 Plickers questions
We completed the Activity: Action-Reaction Contact Forces
Homework: Post-activity questions (we took a picture of these with our iPad)

Grade 6:
We sang "A Lump of Dirt"
We answered 2 Plicker questions
We tested our solar ovens and cooked S'mores
TEST: THURSDAY!!!

Grade 8:
We took the test on Energy Transfer Between Objects
We watched BrainPop: Newton's Laws of Motion and took a Socrative quiz
We sorted cards into "Supports Newton's 3rd Law" and "Does Not Support Newton's 3rd Law"
We completed the Hook: What is a Newton?
Homework: write a statement that summarizes the relationship between force and Newtons.

Grade 7:
We answered 2 Plickers questions
We were assigned a research team and chose a natural resource (oil, natural gas, non-woody plants, wood, metal ore)
    since Canary was not working Mrs. Wicht made it available to us on STEMscope.
We will continue to work on Wednesday (1/2 hour) and the following Wednesday (1 period) then we will present our poster- 5 minute presentation
