Grade 6:
We got into groups and began our research for our Global Climate Change question.
We will have Tuesday to complete our documentary on our question.
Some research is advised for homework. See the email from Mrs. Moss

Grade 8:
We took the 8th grade baseline test on Discovery Education
We were faced with another problem, this time involving a balance beam.
Lab reports are due on Tuesday.

We began the scope: Human Activities & Global Climate Changes
We watched the video: Chasing Ice
We wrote a sentence about global climate change.

We investigated how to get Isabelle up the cliff using a pulley
Homework: Lab report about pulleys
Watch the video sent by Mrs. Moss- draw the 3 atoms as directed by the video

We discerned the difference between Biotic and Abiotic

    we discussed how different scenarios (flood, drought, volcano, human interaction) could affect ecosystems

Grade 7:
We started our new scope: Matter & Energy in Food Webs
APK: we finished a food web and discussed how energy and matter are transferred throughout
Hook: we took a short field trip on the school campus and observed organisms that we could incorporate into a food chain when we got back to the classroom
Activity 1: (available on Canary) We had Team Captains organize us into a human Energy Pyramid, then we answered questions about it.
